Photojournalism Story of a Place: Alpine Commons [I do not own rights of the song]

About two miles away from the campus of University of Massachusetts Amherst, Alpine Commons is home to a variety of students. Alpine Commons is located in south of Amherst and occupied mostly by UMass upperclassman undergrads. Six apartments were photographed and emphasis an embodiment of individualism. An array of distinct individuals are photographed and portray accustomed routines. One photo captures UMass ‘14, Kyle Arrington unwinding in his room and watching a pirated episode of the Office, from YouTube and online streaming by using his Xbox. From another photo, Arrington’s roommate, Matt Podratz is sitting on a couch in the living room and on his computer working.  In another apartment, three roommates, Lisa Weisber, Nolan Wilds and Alexis DeGenaro are all together in the kitchen and collectively while their one other roommate works solely in her room. One apartment shows Becca Cachian, Corey Shirt and Steph Cano indulging in ‘Wino’ Wednesday and in their living room while their cat, Cleopatra relaxes nearby. The story emphasizes the comforts in customizing and personalization.
